La historia nos lleva a un mundo paralelo a caballo entre el minarquismo y el capitalismo libertario en el que la historia se desarrolla paralelamente a la nuestra hasta que, en los nacientes EEUU, el Secretario del Tesoro Albert Gallatin se convierte en todo un héroe libertario al realiza un magnicidio con éxito contra el Tirano George (George Washington) después de que este coaccionara a la nueva nación con un impuesto sobre el whiskey del 25%, hecho que dio lugar a la rebelión del whiskey aplastada por el propio Washington. Tras el tiranicidio la historia de este mundo paralelo de “Propertarians” siguió otro rumbo radicalmente más libre que el nuestro.
Entre los guiños a la escuela austriaca, al objetivismo y al libertarianismo en general encontraremos entre los personajes de la obra a viejos conocidos (algunos de ellos con el nombre ligeramente alterado) como Ayn Rand, Vaughn L. Meiss (Ludwig von Mises) o el banquero Midas Mulligan de la Rebelión de Atlas.
En sus paginas encontraremos un mundo en el que la ciencia esta mucho más adelantada que en el nuestro al existir un mercado libre de saqueadores estatales, algunos animales han adquirido características humanas como los delfines o los grandes simios (esto es lo más raro y zapateril de la obra) y la gente va armada en su vida cotidiana como símbolo de su derecho natural a la autodefensa y a su participación en sociedad como una persona libre.

Yo no escribí el comic. Pero de todas formas me parece muy hipócrita y propio de un tirano poner un impuesto del 25% al whiskey, después de librar una guerra por un impuesto del 4% a las infusiones...
A lo mejor Washington era un cincinato reencarnado o a lo mejor no, lo ignoro. De todas formas mi intención no era insultarlo, solo reflejar como lo consideran en el mundo paralelo del comic.
Evidentemente, suponía que era lo que se decía en el cómic. El cómic no está mal, pero hace un poco como hizo María Blanco en "En el país de las Maravillas", es decir: da una definición de liberalismo —en el cómic propertarian equivale a liberal— que no secesariamente encaja con todos los liberales.
Yo no creo que el derecho a la vida sea una consecuencia de la propiedad de uno mismo. Si así fuese se podría contemplar la venta de la propia vida, de la libertad, de los derechos a decidir. Cosa que desde luego no es aceptable desde mi punto de vista.
